On June 24, 2025, LGU Sumisip proudly hosted the Stakeholders
Engagement and Project Inception for the Modeling Livelihood
Solutions for Coastal Communities in Basilan Province (Model-
Lives) program, in partnership with UNDP, EU, and key regional
agencies.
From the ribbon-cutting of the Community-Based Education
Tourism Project in Brgy. Lower Benembengan to the powerful show
of support at the Sumisip Amphitheater - this milestone marks a
united commitment to sustainable livelihoods and inclusive growth
for our coastal communities.
With heartfelt messages from the UNDP, EU, provincial and
municipal leaders, and BARMM ministries, this event highlighted
collaboration in action — building a better future for Basilan, one
model at a time.
